Week 1
Introduction to Plating
Introduction to Plating
You eat with your eyes! Eating involves using all the senses. In the introduction to plating you will learn about traditional plating concepts, what to use for plating, plating ratios and the steps in plating.
Plating your starter
You will select a starter dish and plate it whilst learning about the use of sauces and garnish in plating.
Week 2
Plating your Main and Dessert
Plating your main
You will select and plate a main dish using what you have learned last week.
Plating your dessert
We will demonstrate plating a dessert and then you will select and plate a dessert using the techniques that you have learned.
Let's wrap up
In this last part of the course, I will give you some useful tips for plating and then you can take a quiz to check your knowledge.
